Google Business Profile Video Verification Instructions

Purpose:
Record a short video (under 1 minute 30 seconds) to verify a new or suspended Google Business Profile location.

General Guidelines

• No faces or personal information should appear in the video.

• Wear a hoodie, mask, or hat to avoid reflections or face capture.

• Do not show licenses or sensitive documents. If unavoidable, redact any account numbers.

Step 1: Exterior Verification

1. Start at a nearby street sign.

   • Clearly show the street name(s) to help verify the business location.

2. Walk toward the business.

   • Show the route from the street to your storefront.

   • If possible, capture nearby businesses to provide context.

Step 2: Business Signage & Entry

1. Show your business signage clearly.

   • Include any visible:

     • Address

     • Suite number

     • Phone number

     • Website

2. Unlock the door using a key.

   • This proves you have physical access to the business.

Step 3: Interior & Operations Proof

1. Enter and walk through the workspace.

   • Avoid showing any restricted areas.

   • Continue not showing faces.

2. Sit at a desk or workspace.

   • Show a business-related software in use.

   • Preferably, the software screen should display the business name.

Time Limit

The entire recording should take no more than 15 minutes from start to finish.
