# Creating a Discount Code in WooCommerce

Follow the steps to create your own unique coupon code on your CannaPlanners E-Commerce website.

1.  Visit your Dashboard -\> WooCommerce -\> Coupons

2\.  To create a new coupon click "Add Coupon"

3\.  In the "Coupon Data" window, you can customize the pertinent data for your coupon:  **coupon name** (this will become the code eg: cannaplanners123), **Discount Type** (generally this will be percentage or fixed cart discount, but you have many options to choose from), **Coupon Amount**, and **expiration date**  

4\.  Customize how the coupon is used in **Usage Restrictions** and **Usage Limits**

5\.  When you've finished customizing your new coupon click "**Publish"**
